Case studies

Rubber injection moulding factory
Application: Injection mould & production equipment cleaning
We demonstrated dry ice blasting on live rubber injection moulds, delivering immediate improvements without disassembly or chemicals. Following a successful rental trial, the client purchased their own machine and now carries out in-house cleaning across all moulds. We continue to support larger cleans with industrial systems, helping the business achieve massively reduced downtime and improved production efficiency.

Polythene extrusion and flexo printing manufacturer
Application: Extrusion lines & flexographic printing presses
Dry ice blasting was used to remove polymer build-up, ink, and contamination from extrusion equipment and flexo presses. After initial success, the client booked regular periodical cleans across multiple sites and machines, standardising maintenance and reducing unplanned downtime while maintaining consistent product and print quality.

Underside restoration
Application: Vehicle underside cleaning & protection
A specialist car dealer partners with us to dry ice clean vehicle underbodies, remove polythene underseal, carry out corrosion remediation, and apply protective coatings. Vehicles are rotated through our workshop continuously, supporting both sales preparation and customer-owned cars. The result is cleaner underbodies, improved presentation, and long-term protection without damaging originality.

Oak beams and woodwork
Application: Timber restoration
During a major renovation, original oak beams were weathered and stained after exposure to the elements. Once the property was watertight, dry ice blasting restored all oak woodwork to a clean, natural finish—without sanding, moisture, or chemicals—preserving the character of the timber and preparing it for final finishing.

Emergency automotive fire damage
Application: Engine, gearbox & engine bay cleaning
Following an engine bay fire extinguished with powder extinguishers, we carried out an urgent dry ice blasting call-out to clean the engine, gearbox, and engine bay. The process removed all powder residue and fire contamination, revealing the true extent of damage and allowing repair work to begin immediately—without introducing moisture or further risk.

Closed-cell spray foam removal
Application: Mortgage-compliant insulation removal
Closed-cell spray foam insulation in a loft prevented a property sale due to mortgage lender requirements. Dry ice blasting was used to fully remove the insulation without damaging roof timbers, leaving the structure clean and inspection-ready—allowing the sale to proceed.
